FAME AND WEALTH is a quietly winning set by Loudon Wainwright III.
 The album marked a return to the studio for Wainwright after he revived his
 career with the concert recording, A LIVE ONE. He shines on both his familiar
 fronts: "The Grammy Song" is humorous in a tongue-in-cheek way, as he
 imagines himself receiving the coveted award, while "April Fools Day Morn" is
 a poetic and cathartic autobiographical piece, rich with delicious melancholy for
 the years already falling away. The latter of these two songs addresses a
 subject that Wainwright has visited and revisited perhaps more than any other
